چکیده

In this paper, to increase normalized throughput of the optical code-divisionmultiple-access (CDMA) system, optical-CDMA systems with multi-pulse pulse position modulation (MPPM) using the modified pseudo orthogonal M-sequence sets is proposed. The throughput performance and bit error rate (BER) are evaluated by theoretical analysis. Consequently, the normalized throughput of the proposed system can achieve 1.35 [bit/chip] when the number of slots per frame is 16. Furthermore, BER of the proposed system is superior to that of the conventional systems.

Construction and Performance Studies of a Pseudo - Orthogonal Code for Fiber Optic Cdma Lan

A pseudo-orthogonal prime sequence code and a modified prime sequence code using the elements of Galoi’s Field (GF) for a particular prime number have been developed. Bit-error rate performances using Gaussian approximation technique have been made. The capacities of the prime sequence codes are determined. Detailed simulation results on the performance of the codes are presented. The codes are...

Gaussian Approximation of the BER for Non-Coherent Optical Fiber CDMA Networks Using Sparse Codes

An analysis based on a Gaussian approximation of the BER performance for noncoherent optical fiber code-division multiple-access (CDMA) networks (both asynchronous and synchronous) is presented. The effects of shot noise, thermal noise, interference and the architecture of optical receivers are included in the evaluation of the BER. A general equation for the BER is established and it is shown ...

Performance of Orthogonal CDMA Codes for Quasi-Synchronous Communication Systems

In this paper, the performance of quasi-synchronous direct-sequence CDMA communication systems based on diierent sets of orthogonal codes is investigated. We search for sets of sequences that minimize the probability of bit detection error, given that there is imperfect synchronization among the signals. Orthogonal sequences based on the Sylvester-type Hadamard matrices (Walsh functions) are sh...

Mutually orthogonal sets of ZCZ sequences - Electronics Letters

Introduction: In a synchronous CDMA system, orthogonal spreading sequences can be employed to eliminate multiple access interference. However, in a wireless channel, orthogonality among different users tends to diminish because of inter-path interference. To reduce the interference among users in a multipath environment or in an approximately synchronised CDMA [1] environment, the concept of ge...
